View of Russian River and Monte Rio from Starett Hill area. St. Catherine’s Church is visible on hill. Large structure (dance hall?) on site of Rio Theater and many homes visible to the left of the Monte Rio bridge. Most hills have had redwood trees chopped down and mountains have been de-forested. Photo may have been taken in winter when river was running high.
